Getting Started (Onboarding Journey)

The platform guide on the Prediction markets, Perpetual markets, Leverage and other factors.

Prophex is designed to be as intuitive as a betting app but as powerful as a perpetual futures exchange.

1. Find a Market

• Browse markets across crypto, politics, sports, and culture.

• Each market has two clear outcomes (e.g., BTC above $60k vs below $60k, Team A vs Team B).

• Starting odds are seeded at 50/50, with prices updating dynamically as positions are taken.

2. Add/Customise Leverage

• Select margin (the collateral you want to risk).

• Choose leverage (up to 3× at launch).

• See your notional exposure instantly calculated.

Example:

• $200 margin at 5× leverage = $1,000 notional exposure.

3. Open a Position

• Pick your side (Outcome A or Outcome B).

• The system shows:

  • Current odds (e.g., 54% vs 46%).

  • How much your trade will shift the odds.

  • Estimated liquidation threshold.

• Confirm the trade → your position is live.

4. Monitor & Manage

• Dashboard view shows your:

  • Current P&L (profit/loss).

  • Liquidation price.

  • Current odds.

• You can close your position early to lock in gains or cut losses.

• Or scale up by adding more margin/leverage.

5. Resolution on Prediction markets (Not on Perpetual markets)

• When the event outcome is decided:

  • Winning side resolves to 1.0, losing side to 0.0.

  • All positions are closed automatically.

  • Winners redeem their shares; losers are nullified.

• If liquidations + losing margin are insufficient, the Insurance Fund fills the gap.
